Today’s tutorial is for a favored freesia thank you card. Both the front and the insert of this card are decorated with fussy cut pieces from the Favored Flowers DSP.

Colour Combo

This colour combo mixes Blackberry Bliss, Fresh Freesia and Evening Evergreen.

Start with an A6 landscape card of Starry Sky. Cut a 5-1/2″ x 3-7/8″ card front layer of (subtle patterned) Favored Flowers DSP. Wrap Fresh Freesia Open Weave Ribbon around the lower portion of the DSP layer and secure on the reverse. Adhere the ribbon-wrapped layer direct to the card front. Tie on a small piece of the same ribbon in a knot and trim the ends.

Using the Something Fancy dies, die cut two labels; the smaller from Basic White card and the next size up from Blackberry Bliss card. Stamp the thanks sentiment from the Biggest Wish set onto the white label with Blackberry Bliss ink (positioning it a little to the right). Adhere the labels together and pop them up on the card front with dimensionals. Fussy cut a small flower from the Favored Flowers DSP and adhere to the left side of the sentiment label. Finish with a trio of Loose Flower Flourishes.

Favored freesia thank you card insert

Fussy cut out a partial flower from an edge or corner of the Favored Flowers DSP. Adhere direct to the edge/corner of the Basic White insert.
