Today’s tutorial is for a quick solid gems thank you card. There are plenty of gems in a pack so I’ve used two of the colours to create a pattern on the sentiment label. These solid gems are also perfect for covering small mistakes as they’re opaque.

Each week over on my Facebook page (please pop over and Like or Follow) I choose a product pick of the week to feature. This week, it’s the Adhesive-backed Solid Gems. Each pack has 180 gems – 20 each of 3 colours (Copper Clay, Lemon Lolly and Boho Blue)in 3 sizes. I’ll have tutorials for you this week, that share different ideas for using this pretty gems.

In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the quick solid gems thank you card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything you don’t already own.

Colour Combo

This colour combo mixes Pretty Peacock, Lemon Lolly and Copper Clay.

Start with an A6 portrait card of Pretty Peacock. Adhere a (3-7/8″ x 5-1/2″) card front layer of Lemon Lolly card. Adhere a (3-5/8″ x 5-1/4″”) card front layer of Fresh as a Daisy DSP. Using Something Fancy dies, die cut a smaller label from Basic White card and a larger one from Pretty Peacock card. Stamp a sentiment from the Something Fancy stamp set onto the white label with Pretty Peacock ink. Adhere this direct to the larger label and pop the layered labels up on the card front with dimensionals. Add Copper Clay and Lemon Lolly Adhesive-backed Solid Gems in a pattern on either side of the sentiment.

On the Basic White insert, using Pretty Peacock ink, stamp another sentiment from the Something Fancy stamp set. Add borders of Fresh as a Daisy DSP and Pretty Peacock card down the right side.
