Today’s tutorial is for a quick zoo crew birthday card. There are dies for cutting out some of the animals from the Zoo Crew DSP but for those that don’t have matching dies, you can always punch them out.

Each week over on my Facebook page (please pop over and Like or Follow) I choose a product pick of the week to feature. This week, it’s the Zoo Crew DSP. All of the papers have animals on one side and a black and white pattern on the other. I’ll have tutorials for you this week, that share different ideas for using these fun papers.

In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the quick zoo crew birthday card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything you don’t already own.

Colour Combo

This colour combo mixes Lemon Lolly, Basic Black and Basic White.

Quick zoo crew birthday card

Start with an A6 portrait card of Lemon Lolly. Adhere a (3-7/8″ x 5-1/2″) card front layer of Zoo Crew DSP direct to the card front. Using the Double Oval punch, punch out one of the smaller animals from the Zoo Crew DSP. Pop this up on a 2-3/8″ Circle punched from Basic Black card. Pop all the layers up on the card front with more dimensionals.

Using Memento Black ink, stamp a sentiment from the Zany Zoo set onto a plain oval punched from Basic White card with the Double Oval punch. Adhere direct to a scalloped oval punched from Basic Black card. Pop this up on the card front with dimensionals. Finish by adding a trio of Adhesive-Backed Solid Gems to the card front.

Quick zoo crew birthday card insert

On the Basic White insert, using Memento Black ink, stamp a sentiment from the Zany Zoo stamp set. Stamp the ballerina cheetah below the sentiment, leaving a little room below. Add borders of Basic Black card and Zoo Crew DSP, along the base.
