Today’s tutorial is for a quick He’s Fishing birthday card. This birthday card uses the Let’s Go Fishing DSP but has nothing to do with fishing!

Each week over on my Facebook page (please pop over and Like or Follow) I choose a product pick of the week to feature. This week, it’s the Let’s Go Fishing DSP. This is a pack of 12″ x 12″ designs with a total of 24 sheets – 2 each of 12 double-sided patterns. They have fishing related designs on one side but the other has simple masculine styled patterns. I’ll have tutorials for you this week, that share different ideas for using these papers.

In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the quick He’s Fishing birthday card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything you don’t already own.

Colour Combo

This colour combo mixes Pecan Pie, Very Vanilla and Early Espresso.

Quick He’s Fishing birthday card

Start with a 4-1/8″ square card of Pecan Pie. Cut a (3-7/8″ x 3-7/8″) card front layer of Let’s Go Fishing DSP and adhere direct to the card front. Using the Stylish Shapes dies, die cut nesting squares from Pecan Pie and Very Vanilla card. Rotate the Vanilla square to a diamond. Stamp a sentiment from the He’s All That stamp set onto it with Early Espresso ink. Adhere direct to the Pecan Pie square/diamond and pop up on the card front with dimensionals. Finish with some Neutrals Adhesive-Backed Sequins.

Quick He’s Fishing birthday card insert

On the Very Vanilla insert, using Early Espresso ink, stamp a sentiment from the Zany Zoo stamp set. Add a border of Let’s Go Fishing DSP along the base.
