Today’s tutorial is for a quick Charming Blossom thanks card. Adding a sentiment stamp set to a kit is an easy way to create a little more variety in your finished cards. You can change up the sentiment on the card to suit any occasion. It’s a great next step for any beginner crafter. I’ve used Basic White card and Memento Black ink, as these are basic supplies that you will want to add to your craft kit, as you start out. The more experienced crafters can add coloured cardstock and inks and still make good use of our kits for quick cards, or cards on the go.

This is a great set with sentiments for a variety of occasions, suitable for both outside and inside the card. There is also a co-ordinating die set for cutting out all the sentiments. I’ll have tutorials for you this week, that share ideas for using the stamp set.

In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the quick Charming Blossom thanks card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything you don’t already own.

Colour Combo

This colour combo mixes Sweet Sorbet, Orchid Oasis and Lemon Lolly.

Quick Charming Blossom thanks card

Start with the smaller slimline card base from the Blossom Wishes Card Kit. Pop the Sweet Sorbet half circle card layer up on the card front with dimensionals. Press out and add the pair of pears with more dimensionals. Press out the large branch and add this with mini glue dots. Add pressed out vellum blossom with more mini glue dots. Press out the sentiment. Cut a (1-9/16″ x 7/8″) label of Basic White card. Trim away a tiny section of all four corners evenly. Using Memento Black ink, stamp a sentiment from the Charming Sentiments set onto the label. Adhere the label direct over the top of the pressed out sentiment and pop these layers up on the card front with dimensionals.

Using Memento Black ink, stamp another sentiment from the Charming Sentiments stamp set on the inside of the card. (Tip – weigh down the card so that it doesn’t flip up when you try to stamp).
