Anybody else got gilding flakes gathering dust in the back of their craft cupboard?

I can’t even remember the project I originally intended these silver flakes for but they’re a few years old, lol.

Luckily they don’t go off 🙂 – they were great for using with this bold sentiment.

The card base is an A6 portrait of Basic Black. Using Versamark ink, the main sentiment from Botanicals for You was stamped onto a card layer of Going Places DSP, covered with Heat & Stick powder and heat embossed. Silver gilding flakes were pressed over the sticky sentiment and the excess brushed away (I have an old children’s paintbrush which would be rubbish for painting with but is ideal for this). This layer was matted onto Sahara Sand card. Mini Brads were added to the corners and then the layers adhered direct to the card front.

On the inside, another sentiment from the same set was stamped in Basic Black and a strip of paper to match the front was adhered down one side.

Anybody else confessing to the gilding flakes or is it only me?
