On Sunday, I shared with you my Mother’s Day card to my Mum. Today, I’m back with my Hubby’s card to his.
He copied a lot of my design but switched the colour scheme for a bold Crushed Curry and Basic Black combo. I think it looks really good.
The card base is an A6 top fold portrait of Basic Black that is die cut along each edge with the leaf edgelit from the Botanical Builder framelits. Using Basic Black ink, the sentiment from Crazy About You was stamped onto a scrap of Botanical Gardens DSP, die cut out with a Banners framelit and adhered direct to the card front. The Happy sentiment was die cut from Crushed Curry card with the Hello You thinlit and adhered above the banner sentiment. Botanical Builder leaves and flowers were die cut out from Basic Black and Crushed Curry card and adhered direct and popped up on the card front. A Basic Pearl was added to the centre of the flower and It’s My Party Enamel Dots were used to finish.
Botanical Gardens DSP was adhered to the inside back of the card to show through the leafy edgelits. A sentiment from Friendly Wishes was stamped in Basic Black ink.
What do you think? I think I’ve got some real competition here!
