Today’s masculine birthday card uses another of the DSPs from the July offer, but in a more traditional way.
The DSP is from the Nature’s Poem pack, which has a great mix of colours and patterns for both masculine and feminine projects.
The card base is an A6 portrait of Soft Suede, matted with a panel of Nature’s Poem DSP. Using Soft Suede ink, the tree trunk slice from the Rooted in Nature set was stamped onto a panel of Very Vanilla card. A sentiment from the same set was stamped in Soft Suede ink onto a small panel of Whisper White and the two sizes of leaves were stamped onto Mint Macaron and Grapefruit Grove card with matching inks. The leaves were die cut out with the matching Nature’s Roots framelits and snipped in half. A narrow banner was cut from another pattern of Nature’s Poem DSP and adhered behind the sentiment. The snipped leaves were adhered above and below the sentiment and Leaves Trinkets tucked in with them before adhering all to the larger, stamped panel. Nature’s Twine was wrapped around the panel and tied in a bow before adhering the panel to the front of the card.
On the Very Vanilla insert, sentiments from Picture Perfect Birthday and Stitched All Around were stamped in Soft Suede ink and a whole stamped and die cut leaf in Mint Macaron (as for the card front) was added to one corner.
