Puzzle pieced birthday card

August 5, 2018

My card share today is a special birthday card made for my father-in-law.

As soon as I saw the Love You To Pieces bundle I loved it and have a few more ideas like this that I want to try.

Both a colour photo and a black and white photo were die cut, to see which looked best but as I went with the colour version for the card, the black and white pieces went into the envelope for my FIL to piece together himself!

The card base is an A6 portrait of Pool Party. Using the jigsaw grid die from the Puzzle Pieces thinlit set, a photo of the birthday boy (from our family trip for his 70th birthday) was die cut out and then pieced together onto a mat of Night of Navy card. This was popped up onto the card front with dimensionals. Using Night of Navy ink, a sentiment from Perennial Birthday was stamped direct onto the card front. A puzzle piece was die cut from Whisper White card and stamped with sentiments from the Make a Difference set using Night of Navy ink. This was popped up on the card front with more dimensionals.

On the Whisper White insert, a sentiment and birthday blower image from the Picture Perfect set were stamped with Night of Navy and Pool Party inks.

Thanks for stopping by.

Hope you’re having a great weekend.

Sara xx
