Yay! I found my missing DSP. It was in the bottom of a box of retired full packs of DSP. I’d put it there to keep it safe from creasing but I sure wish I’d remembered that.
I wanted to make a large card for my Dad’s birthday and the striped paper in the Dashing Along DSP pack is non-Christmassy enough to work for birthdays as well as Christmas. This DSP is only available to those hosting a qualifying workshop this month.
The colours in the DSP are Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green and Whisper White. Although the Joyous Glimmer Paper colour is Merry Merlot, I still think it works against the DSP.
The card base is an A5 portrait of Cherry Cobbler matted with Dashing Along DSP. A large sentiment was die cut from Joyous Noel Glimmer Paper with the Happy Birthday thinlits. The Large Letters framelits were used to die cut the letters spelling “DAD” from the same Glimmer Paper. Both were adhered direct to the card front. Teeny hearts were die cut from left over scraps of the Glimmer Paper using the Stitched Labels framelits and popped up on the card front with mini dimensionals.
On the Whisper White insert, sentiments from Perennial Birthday were stamped in Garden Green ink and a strip of the same DSP used on the front was adhered near the base.
Thanks for stopping by.
