Today’s card is simple enough for a beginner but still looks very striking.

Different shades could have been chosen to give a more authentic rainbow effect but these colours were chosen so that only one pack of mixed cardstock is needed.

This rainbow colour combo uses Poppy Parade, Mango Melody, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Bermuda Bay, Pacific Point and Gorgeous Grape.

The card base is an A6 landscape of Poppy Parade. A card front layer of Whisper White was stamped with a sentiment from Butterfly Gala using Gorgeous Grape ink and then adhered direct to the card front. Using the Butterfly Duet punch the smaller butterfly was punched from Poppy Parade, Mango Melody, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Bermuda Bay, Pacific Point and Gorgeous Grape card. Each butterfly was shaped, folding the wings upwards before adhering each to the card front. To keep the spacing even, the outer butterflies were placed first, then the centre one, then the others were filled in.

On the Whisper White insert one of the mini butterfly outlines from the Butterfly Gala set was stamped in Gorgeous Grape ink. The solid butterfly was stamped over the top, after stamping off once first, for a paler shade. A mini body and antennae were added, still with Gorgeous Grape ink, this time at full strength.
