Home to Roost note card

February 12, 2019

This free (with purchase) Sale-a-bration set has been a bit of a slow burner. I’ve recently seen a lot of beautiful cards made with it though and couldn’t resist combining it with one of my favourite colour combos. This mix of colours always seem “happy” to me 😄

The stamp set has two images; the cockerel and the grass and also four sentiments covering a variety of general “friendship” occasions.

Colour combination mixing Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze, all from Stampin' Up!

The colour combo uses Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze.

The card base is a small square of Bermuda Bay. A Layering Circle was die cut from Crushed Curry and one of the sentiments and the grasses image from Home to Roost, were stamped on to using Cajun Craze ink before adhering direct to the card front. More Layering Circles were used to die cut a frame from Cajun Craze card and this was popped up over the stamped circle. Using Memento Blank ink, the cockerel from the Home to Roost set was stamped onto a scrap of Whisper White card, coloured with Stampin’ Blends and fussy cut out before popping it up over the frame on the front of the card.

Insert using Home to Roost (Sale-a-bration freebie) stamps.

On the Whisper White insert, the cockerel and the grasses from the Home to Roost set were stamped with Cajun Craze ink.

Thanks for stopping by.
