Forever Lovely valentine card

February 14, 2019

Happy Valentine’s Day! This is the card I made for my lovely hubby.

Forever Lovely valentine card.

He’s always telling me that he’s lovely – usually as a response when he’s done something to upset or frustrate me, so I created a special sentiment to confirm to him that “you are lovely” 😂

The corner die cuts were also given a twist, by turning them at an angle.

Colour combination mixing Flirty Flamingo, Whisper White and Lovely Lipstick, all from Stampin' Up!

The colour combo uses Flirty Flamingo, Whisper White and Lovely Lipstick.

Forever Lovely valentine card.

The card base is an A6 portrait of Lovely Lipstick, matted with All My Love DSP. Lovely Lipstick ink was used to selectively ink sections of two different sentiments (I used washi tape to section them off) from the Forever Lovely set to create a whole new sentiment on a panel of Whisper White card. Lovely Flowers Edgelits were used to add decorative edges to the sentiment panel and trios of hearts stamped on before popping the panel up on the card front with dimensionals. The valentine sentiment from the Forever Lovely set was stamped onto a strip of Whisper White card with Lovely Lipstick ink and the strip die cut and trimmed. A slightly wider strip of Lovely Lipstick card was also die cut and trimmed and the labels popped up with dimensionals on the card front.

Insert using Forever Lovely stamps.

On the Whisper White insert, another sentiment from the Forever Lovely set was stamped in Lovely Lipstick ink and a heart border added down the side with Flirty Flamingo ink.

Thanks for stopping by.

Sara xx
