This Rectangle Butterfly sentiment medley card is a twist on a previous version of the card. As before, it uses the sentiment medley technique.

Birthday card combining the Butterfly Gala bundle and the sentiment medley technique.

Lemon Lime Twist is a 2017-2019 In Color that retires at the end of the month. The Butterfly Gala stamp set and Butterfly Duet punch will be available in the new catalogue but they won’t be available as a bundle. Order them now to get 10% off while you can.

Instructions

Start with a top folding A6 portrait card base of Lemon Lime Twist. On a card front layer of Lemon Lime Twist, stamp with sentiments and images from One For All, Perennial Birthday and Itty Bitty Birthdays, using Lemon Lime Twist ink. Die cut two sizes of Stitched Rectangles in the stamped card front layer, one horizontal and one vertical. Using this as a template die cut the same rectangles from the card front. Pop the stamped layer up on the card front with dimensionals, matching up the rectangle apertures.

Stamp a duo of butterflies from the Butterfly Gala set onto Whisper White card with Memento Black ink. Colour the butterflies with Light Highland Heather, Dark and Light Pool Party and Light Night of Navy Stampin’ Blends. Punch out the butterflies with the Butterfly Duet punch and adhere the wings over the edges of the rectangle apertures. Finish the card front and the apertures, with Gingham Gala Adhesive-Backed Sequins.

The insert uses a sentiment from Itty Bitty Birthdays.

On the Whisper White insert, stamp a sentiment from Itty Bitty Birthdays using Memento Black ink. Take care to position the sentiment where it won’t show through the apertures. To cover the Blends inking that shows through the butterflies, punch another butterfly duo from Lemon Lime Twist with the Butterfly Duet and adhere them to the reverse of the stamped version, lining them up.
