This framed birthday cake card has the main element on the inside but it peeks through the frame to show on the front of the card too.
The Piece of Cake stamp set, Cake Builder punch and some Blends would qualify you for a Bonus Days coupon to use against purchases next month 😉
This colour combo mixes Calypso Coral, Pool Party and Gray Granite, with just a touch of Coastal Cabana.
Instructions
Start with an A6 portrait of Gray Granite card. Adhere a card front layer of Follow Your Art DSP and die cut a window from it with a Stitched Rectangle. Use the same Stitched Rectangle and the next size larger, to die cut a frame from Gray Granite card. Adhere this around the window on the card front. Using Memento Black ink, stamp a sentiment from Piece of Cake onto Whisper White card and die cut with the small narrow Stitched Rectangle. Pop this up with mini dimensionals, on the card front below the window.
On the Whisper White insert, stamp a sentiment from Piece of Cake with Memento Black ink, positioning it so that it won’t show through the window when the card is shut. Using Memento Black ink, stamp a cake and cake stand onto scraps of Whisper White and colour them with Blends (see below for colours). Punch out with the Cake Builder. Trim the edges of the cake stand slightly with scissors to ensure that it fits within the window. Add slivers of Coastal Cabana card as “ribbons” on the tiers of cake. Use the punched pieces to work out the positioning of the candles and stamp them through the window using Memento Black ink. Colour the candles with Blends. Pop the cake and cake stand up on mini dimensionals.
Thanks for stopping by.
