Today’s Unicorn Happiness card, uses that same Hippo Happiness bundle I’ve been working with recently.
The three cards including this one, the Hippo birthday card and the Hippo Happiness butterflies card, have showcased all the different animals in the bundle and all the different shaped label dies too.
This time I went with a grey colour scheme and livened it up with a splash of Magenta.
Although it might not be worth getting the Rainbow Glimmer Paper just for the unicorn horn, believe me, you’ll love having it for so many other projects. You can find a portion to work with any project and it’s just so lush but doesn’t shed glitter all over!
COLOUR COMBO
This colour combo mixes Smoky Slate, Magenta Madness and Basic Gray.
INSTRUCTIONS
Start with an A6 portrait card of Basic Gray. Using Smoky Slate ink, stamp the solid horse from the Hippo Happiness set repeatedly across a card front layer of Smoky Slate. Wrap the layer with Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon before adhering it direct to the card front. Stamp a sentiment from the Hippo Happiness set onto a scrap of Whisper White card using Basic Gray ink. Die cut out with the small stretched octagonal label from the Hippo & Friends dies and pop up over the ribbon with dimensionals.
Die cut two different size rounder shaped labels, one from Smoky Slate card and a larger one from Magenta Madness, using the Hippo & Friends dies. Adhere together directly and pop up on the card front with dimensionals. Using Blushing Bride ink, stamp the solid horse from Hippo Happiness onto a scrap of Whisper White card. With Magenta Madness ink, stamp the rest of the horse/unicorn over the top. Using Basic Gray ink, add the face over the top and die cut out with the matching die. Pop the unicorn up on mini dimensionals in the centre of the stacked labels. Die cut a unicorn horn from the pink segment of Rainbow Glimmer Paper and adhere direct to the head. Finish the unicorn label with 2020–2022 In Color Enamel Dots.
On the Whisper White insert, stamp the small flower from Hippo Happiness across the base using Magenta Madness ink. With Smoky Slate ink, add the stems and leaves below the flowers.
Thanks for stopping by.
