Cocktail birthday card

August 15, 2020

This Cocktail birthday card is for a friend and team member (it’s okay I know she’s received it now). It has quite a number of steps but none of them are too difficult, taken individually.

INSTRUCTIONS

Cocktail birthday card

Start with a landscape z-fold card of Terracotta Tile. Mat the front and middle panels of the card with a single pattern of the Playing With Patterns DSP. Mat the inside back of the card with another, co-ordinating pattern of the same paper. Using the Brick and Mortar 3D embossing folder, emboss the front panel of a z-fold banner. Adhere a sentiment panel on the middle piece of the banner. Adhere more Playing With Patterns DSP to the inside back panel of the z-fold banner before adhering it direct to the front and inside back of the card.

Using Terracotta Tile ink, stamp a sentiment from the Nothing’s Better Than set onto a skinny strip of Whisper White card and pop up on the card front with mini dimensionals. Add Foam Adhesive Sheet to the back of a yellow/orange section of Rainbow Glimmer Paper before die cutting the sentiment from it with Well Written dies. This makes it super easy to adhere it to the front of the z-fold banner.

Using Stazon Black ink, stamp the cocktail glass from the Nothings Better Than set onto a scrap of Whisper White card. Stamp the drink over the top using Crushed Curry ink and sponging a little Terracotta Tile to the upper part of the stamp before stamping it. Stamp the slice and umbrella over the top using Crushed Curry and Coastal Cabana inks. Die cut the glass out with the co-ordinating die from the Love You More Than set and pop it up on the card front with mini dimensionals.

Cocktail birthday card inside

Add Adhesive Sheet to the back of Brushed Metallic card before die cutting the sentiments from it with Love You More Than dies. Adhere the sentiments direct to the inside of the card. Using Early Espresso ink, add an ampersand (&) above the “Chocolate” using the Well Written set.

Using Early Espresso ink, stamp the outline chocolates from the Nothing’s Better Than stamp set onto Whisper White card. Stamp the solid chocolates over the top of the outline one with Crumb Cake ink. Die cut out with the matching die and pop up on mini dimensionals on the inside back z-fold panel. Using Terracotta Tile ink, stamp another sentiment from the Nothing’s Better Than set onto a skinny strip of Whisper White card and pop up below the chocolates with mini dimensionals.

Thanks for stopping by.
