Autumn Fern birthday card

August 27, 2020

This Autumn Fern birthday card was another of the make and takes at our August Paper Dolls Inspiration Meeting.

As I explained in this earlier post, the theme of our meeting was mixing new products, with those that we already have in our stash. This project combines the new Gilded Autumn Specialty DSP and matching Brushed Metallic Cardstock with the Peaceful Moments sentiment set and the Forever Fern stamp set.

The leaves from the Forever Fern set complement those in the DSP really well.

INSTRUCTIONS

Autumn Fern birthday card

Start with an A6 portrait card of Cajun Craze. Adhere a thin panel of one pattern of the Gilded Autumn Specialty DSP direct to the left hand side of the card front. Adhere a wider panel of another pattern of the Gilded Autumn Specialty DSP direct to the right hand side of the card front. Cut a skinny strip of Brushed Metallic Cardstock and adhere direct over the join in the DSP. Die cut two different size labels from Cajun Craze and Very Vanilla card using the Stitched So Sweetly dies. Using Cajun Craze ink, add a sentiment from the Peaceful Moments set to the vanilla label. Add a small set of leaves from the Forever Fern set using the same ink. Adhere the labels together direct and pop them up on the card front with dimensionals.

On the Very Vanilla insert, stamp a sentiment from the Forever Fern set using Cajun Craze. Using the same ink, add a few larger leaves from the same set to the bottom left corner at different heights. Adhere a skinny strip of the wider DSP used on the front of the card, down the right side of the insert.

Thanks for stopping by.
