Today’s tutorial is for a hand-penned art gallery card. I’m still keeping this card simple (with a similar layout to the DSP card) but we’ve added a few more supplies. Tomorrow we’ll be stepping it up even more.
In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the hand-penned art gallery card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything you don’t already own.
Colour Combo
The colour combo mixes Pool Party, Basic Gray and Smoky Slate.
The Basic Gray and Smoky Slate ink pad duo is a good set for any beginner to have in their stash. Simply add your favourite brighter colour (eg. Magenta Madness) for a winning combination any time.
Hand-penned art gallery card
Start with a Hand-penned Memories & More Card & Envelope. Cut a large panel of Basic White card. Using Smoky Slate ink, stamp the leaves from Art Gallery at an angle. Using Pool Party ink, stamp the large solid flower head over the top of the stamped stem. Stamp the detail flower head over the top with the same ink. Mat onto Basic Gray card. Cover opposite corners of the panel with Pool Party Sheer Ribbon and tie on knots of the same ribbon before popping up on the card front with dimensionals (see video below). Using Basic Gray ink, stamp a sentiment from the Art Gallery stamp set onto a narrow strip of Basic White card. Mat onto more Basic Gray card and pop up on the card front with dimensionals.
Here’s a “quick tip video” showing how to add the decorative ribbon corners. Please subscribe to my Youtube channel to make sure you see all future quick tips.
Hand-penned art gallery card inside
On the inside of the card, stamp the medium, flat flower from Art Gallery using Pool Party ink. Stamp the little flower over the top with the same ink.
A printed envelope is also included the hand-penned memories & more cards & envelopes pack.
Thanks for stopping by.
