Today’s tutorial is for a green seashell card. This time the embossing folder has been inked with Just Jade before embossing so that the raised (embossed) images remain in the original pale green colour. The Jade takes on a different shade when mixed with the Soft Sea Foam (see the difference on the insert).
In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the green seashell card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything you don’t already own.
I also used the embossing folder at my Online Workshop yesterday so please join my Facebook Group to see the replay and to see my future workshops.
Colour Combo
The colour combo mixes Soft Sea Foam, Just Jade and Evening Evergreen (with a little Soft Succulent too).
Green seashell card
Start with an A6 landscape card of Soft Succulent. Using a hard brayer, ink the flat area of the debossed Seashell 3D embossing folder with Just Jade ink. Run a card front layer of Soft Sea Foam card through the inked embossing folder. Adhere direct to a card front layer of Evening Evergreen and then direct to the card front. Die cut the stitched starburst circles from Soft Sea Foam and Evening Evergreen card with the Tasteful Labels dies. Using Just Jade ink, stamp a sentiment from the Friends are Like Seashells stamp set onto the Soft Sea Foam circle. Mat direct onto the Evening Evergreen circle card. Pop up on the card front with dimensionals.
Green seashell card insert
On the Basic White insert, stamp another sentiment from the Friends are Like Seashells stamp set using Just Jade ink. Use the same ink to stamp the seaweeds and a seashell along the base.
Thanks for stopping by.
