Today’s tutorial is for a gingerbread art birthday card. This time we’re using the preprinted card base as a frame for a floral element. Don’t forget – there’s also preprinted envelopes in the pack too.
The card and envelope combos are definitely not just for Christmas – they make quick bases for birthday cards and are perfect for other occasions too.
In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the gingerbread art birthday card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything you don’t already own.
Colour Combo
The colour combo mixes Cinnamon Cider, Bumble Bee and Pear Pizzazz.
Gingerbread art birthday card
Fold the preprinted, pre-scored Gingerbread & Peppermint Memories & More Cards card base. Selectively ink the floral spray from the Art Gallery set with Bumble Bee, Cinnamon Cider and Pear Pizzazz inks and stamp onto Basic White card (see video tips below). Die cut out with the co-ordinating Floral Gallery dies. Tie a bow of Gold Shimmer Ribbon around the floral spray and pop up on the card front with a mix of dimensionals and mini dimensionals. Die cut a long postage edged label from Basic White card with the Floral Gallery dies. Using Cinnamon Cider ink, stamp a sentiment from the Art Gallery set on the label and pop up on the card front with mini dimensionals.
Here’s a quick video giving some tips for selective inking on a single stamp. Please subscribe to my Youtube channel for future quick tips and quick cards.
Gingerbread art birthday card inside
Using Cinnamon Cider ink, stamp another sentiment from the Art Gallery stamp set inside. Add a large flower from the set with Bumble Bee ink (stamping off first if you prefer). Overstamp with the flower detail stamp, using Cinnamon Cider ink, also stamping off first.
Thanks for stopping by.
