Today’s tutorial is for a Simply Marbleous chocolate card. I’ve made this one as a valentine card for my husband but you could switch the sentiment to suit a different occasion.

In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the Simply Marbleous chocolate card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything anything you don’t already own (the order code for the Simply Marbleous DSP is 158128).

Colour Combo

The colour combo mixes Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather and Soft Suede.

Simply Marbleous chocolate card

Start with an A6 portrait card of Gorgeous Grape. Add a card front layer of the paler Simply Marbleous DSP direct to the card front. Cut a panel 5-1/4″ x 3-1/2″ from the darker DSP. With the long edge against the top of the trimmer/scoreboard, score at 1″, 1-1/4″, 4″, 4-1/4″. Rotate 90 and score at 1/4″, 1/2″. Fold all scorelines and trim away the corners. Add adhesive sheet to the back of Gorgeous Grape Ombre Specialty Paper and die cut the sentiment using the Love You More Than dies. Adhere to the main panel of the “chocolate wrapper”. Adhere a small strip of kitchen foil to the back of the main panel with tear and tape, then fold over to the front and “scrunch” a little.

Cut a panel 4″ x 2-3/4″ from Soft Suede card. Cut three small rectangles 3/4″ x 1″ from more Soft suede card. Using a sponge dauber, sponge the small rectangles and the top edges of the larger panel with Soft Suede ink. Pop the rectangles up on dimensionals, evenly across the top of the larger panel. Pop the “chocolate” up on dimensionals behind the main panel of the wrapper. Fold the wrapper in place behind the “chocolate” and adhere to the card front with more dimensionals providing lift where needed.

On the Basic White insert, using Soft Suede ink, stamp the “chocolate” sentiment from the Nothing’s Better Than stamp set. Use the same ink to stamp the outline chocolates further down the insert, then ink and stamp off the solid chocolates before stamping them over the outline ones. Stamp the valentine sentiment and the trio of teeny hearts from the Always in my Heart set, using Gorgeous Grape ink. Add a border of the Simply Marbleous DSP across the base.
