Today’s tutorial is for a quick Friendly Hello card. The Friendly Hello bundle is free with a £90 purchase during Sale-a-bration and even with the higher qualifying amount, it packs quite a punch. If you’ve been hanging on for payday, then it’s worth spending the extra to qualify for this duo. You get a great stamp set with a good mix of sentiments and images for colouring in, plus you get twelve sheets of 12″ x 12″ DSP in a great range of springtime colours.
Each week over on my Facebook page (please pop over and Like or Follow) I choose a product pick of the week to feature. This week, it’s this Friendly Hello bundle. I’ll have a selection of tutorials for you throughout the week that share different ideas for using both the stamps and papers.
In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the quick Friendly Hello card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything anything you don’t already own (the order code for the Friendly Hello stamp set and DSP is 159990).
This design is a variation on the Friendly Hello cards I shared at the Sale-a-bration Extravaganza.
Colour Combo
The colour combo mixes Petal Pink, Basic Black and Basic White.
Quick Friendly Hello card
Start with an A6 portrait card of Petal Pink. Cut a card front layer (3-1/2″ x 5″) of Basic Black card. Cut three strips (1″ x 4-3/4″) of Friendly Hello DSP, two with black and white patterning and one with only white patterning (or vice versa if you prefer). Adhere these evenly, direct to the Basic Black card front layer. Pop this layer up on the card front with dimensionals. Cut a sentiment panel (3″ x 1″) from Basic White card. Using Memento Black ink, stamp the sentiment from the Friendly Hello set centrally onto the panel. Stamp the little seed head image at either side of the sentiment using the same black ink. Mat onto (3-1/4″ x 1-1/4″) Petal Pink card and then onto (3-3-1/2″ x 1-1/2″) Basic Black card. Pop up over the DSP strip background with dimensionals. Finish by adding Champagne Rhinestones to the centres of the stamped seed heads.
Here’s a short video showing how this quick card comes together. Please subscribe to my Youtube channel to see my quick cards and quick tips each week.
Quick Friendly Hello card insert
On the Basic White insert, using Memento Black ink, stamp another sentiment from the Friendly Hello set centre left. Add two borders of the Friendly Hello DSP down the right hand side and then add a skinny strip of Basic Black card.
Thanks for stopping by.
