Today’s tutorial is for a blue foil seashells card. This large card was a commission and I upsized a standard card for the design.

In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the blue foil seashells card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything anything you don’t already own.

Colour Combo

The colour combo mixes Coastal Cabana, Pool Party and Basic White.

Blue foil seashells card

Start with an A5 portrait card of Coastal Cabana. Mat with Waves of the Ocean DSP. Die cut a large card front layer from Pool Party card. Run the layer through the Seashells 3D embossing folder to give it texture. Adhere direct to a mat of Coastal Cabana card. Die cut the large panel from Blue Foils Specialty Paper using the Seaside Seashells die set. Run the die cut panel through the Seashells 3D embossing folder. Adhere the foil die cut directly over the top of the Pool Party embossed layer. Pop the layers up on the card front with dimensionals. Using Coastal Cabana ink, stamp a sentiment from the Slim Sayings set onto a strip of Basic White card. Mat onto Coastal Cabana card and pop up on the card front with more dimensionals. Finish by adding Rhinestone Waves Basic Jewels to the main embossed panel.

Blue foil seashells card insert

On the Basic White insert, stamp a sentiment from the On the Horizon set with Coastal Cabana ink. (I also added “daughter” from a retired stamp set for this particular commission). Add a border of Waves of the Ocean DSP along the base.
