Well yesterday I had a great reason to celebrate for myself (thanks for everyone’s good wishes) and today I’m busy helping my work colleagues to celebrate. Several of them passed exams recently and two have now completed their Advanced Diploma qualification for auditing.
I love any reason to celebrate! And they seem to enjoy the recognition too.
This is the card I made for my female colleague:
Recipe
Stamp sets: Sprinkled Expressions (W125130 or C125132)
Cardstock: Pink Pirouette (116203), Soft Suede (119982), Marina Mist (121682), Very Vanilla (106550)
Ink: Pretty in Pink (101301)
DSP: Beau Chateau (122357)
5/8″ Satin Ribbon: Very Vanilla (117291)
3/8″ Taffeta Ribbon: Pink Pirouette (122981)
Punch: Decorative Label (120907), Curly Label (119851)
Other: Basic Pearls (119247)
The card base is an A6 portrait of Pink Pirouette card. Beau Chateau DSP was adhered direct to a mat of Soft Suede. Using Pretty in Pink ink, the main image and the sentiment were stamped separately onto Very Vanilla card. The main image was cut to a small rectangle and matted onto Pink Pirouette card and the sentiment was punched out with the Curly Label and popped up on a Decorative Label punched from Pink Pirouette card. A small rectangle of a contrasting DSP from the same set was matted onto Marina Mist card. The main image and the DSP were then adhered direct to the card front at angles and Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon and Pink Pirouette Taffeta Ribbon were wrapped around the layers before adhering them to the card front. Pearls were added either side of the sentiment which was then popped up on the card front with dimensionals. A Pink Pirouette Taffeta Bow was added with a glue dot to finish.
Recipe
Stamp sets: Under the Big Top (W122875 or C122877)
Cardstock: Very Vanilla (106550)
Ink: Soft Suede (115657)
DSP: Beau Chateau (122357)
On the inside the sentiment and image from Under the Big Top were stamped in Soft Suede ink onto a Very Vanilla insert and a strip of the DSP added as a trim.
I’ll be back tomorrow to show how I used the same design but changed out just a few of the elements to make it more masculine.
