Today’s tutorial is for a masculine BBQ card. It’s not specific to any occasion though you could easily add a sentiment to make it so.
This was one of the cards we made at our Paper Dolls team meeting last night. Now is a great time to join the team as you can get an additional In Color starter kit (worth £62.50) as well as the usual own choice of £130 of products for just £99. You don’t have to run a business, most of my team are hobby crafters and they enjoy the discount and the chance to get together online with like minded people. Email or message me if you’d like to know more.
In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the masculine BBQ card. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything you don’t already own.
Colour Combo
This colour combo mixes Cajun Craze, Early Espresso and Sahara Sand.
Masculine BBQ card
Start with an A6 portrait card of Sahara Sand. Espresso card. Cut a (3-3/4″ x 5-3/8″) card front panel of BBQ patterned He’s The Man Specialty DSP. With the short edge at the top trim this layer at 1-1/4″ and flip the paper over. Adhere both patterns centrally to a (3-7/8″ x 5-1/2″) card front layer of Early Espresso and then adhere direct to the card front. Die cut an embossed scallop circle from Sahara Sand card with the All That dies. Pop up on the card front with dimensionals. Press a trio of sentiments/shapes from the die cut sheet of He’s The Man Specialty DSP and pop up on the card front with dimensionals. Finish by adding Rustic Metallic Adhesive-backed Dots to the bottom right of the card front.
Masculine BBQ card insert
On the Basic White insert, using Early Espresso ink, stamp a sentiment from the He’s All That set and the “No. 1” symbol. Add a border of the DSP from the front of the card across the base.
This was another version that I demonstrated, using different push out pieces from the Specialty DSP and cutting the background DSP horizontally rather than vertically.
Thanks for stopping by.
