Stampin’ Up! Independent Demonstrator

Terrifyingly textured

October 14, 2012

Well today I’m getting back again to the Halloween and Christmas makeover creations and this card brings in lots of texture. I really loved the effect of combining the new Illuminate Glimmer pad with the dry embossing, it gives a lovely ghostly effect and that texture pattern reminds me of chandeliers – what haunted house would be complete without?

The card base is an A6 landscape of Lucky Limeade. The bat and the spider from the Googly Ghouls set (W128060 or C128063) were stamped in Basic Black in the four corners of the card front and then all the edges were sponged Basic Black too. A mat of Basic Black was run through the Big Shot with the Lacy Brocade embossing folder (127819), one side of which was first inked with the Illuminate Glimmer pad (126857) to give the shimmery background. The corners of the mat were all curled and adhered before adhering to the card front. Window Frames framelits (129021) were die cut from Lucky Limeade and Elegant Eggplant card and all were sponged around the edges with Basic Black ink. The sentiment from the same Googly Ghouls set was stamped on the smallest Window Frame and then adhered direct to the card front. After adhering the other two Window Frames together they were popped up on the card front with dimensionals. The little witch from the same stamp set was stamped onto Whisper White card using Black Stazon and then coloured with Lucky Limeade and Elelgant Eggplant markers. After cutting out the image, it was popped up in the centre of the Window Frames with dimensionals and was finished off with Googlies (127539).

I’ll be back tomorrow to give the textured card a Christmas makeover.

Sara xx
