Today our Candlelight Valentine gets a birthday makeover. We’ve kept the layout  pretty much the same and the same Candlelight Christmas DSP but swapped the colour combo and the stamp set and added a little ribbon.

The colour combo comes from my meanderings through Pinterest and was actually a set of bedding. I find that bedding colours are an excellent source of colour combos. What do you think of the red and turquoise – is it too bright do you think?

See yesterday’s card for the basics. The card base back was cut a little wider (6″ x 5″) so that the Scallop Edge Border would be a little wider to set off the Real Red Taffeta Ribbon (119251). Tempting Turquoise card was used in place of the Glimmer Paper and the sentiment from Bring on the Cake (W121899 or C121958) was stamped with Black Stazon and coloured with a Blender Pen (102845) and inks.

For the inside, another Labels Collection framelit (smaller than the largest front one) was die cut from Whisper White card, stamped with another sentiment from the same stamp set using Tempting Turquoise ink and adhered inside so that it doesn’t show when the card is closed.
