Sale-a-bration countdown – 3 days to go!

March 28, 2012

March batch thank you close up

Today’s countdown card is the one I’ve been sending to workshop guests during March (sorry if I’ve spoiled the surprise for anyone). It mainly uses the Outlined Occasions set but I’ve also snuck in a teeny stamp from the Elementary Elegance set.

The stars on the sentiment reminded me of one of my wheels. It’s actually a builder wheel, where you can have up to three wheels on the same handle and spindle. But no-one says you have to ink them all up Wink. I’ll share the tip for using the wheel in this way, just as soon as I’ve finished the countdown.

Recipe
Stamp sets: Outlined Occasions (W126014 or C126016), Elementary Elegance (W125120 or C125122), (Free Sale-a-bration sets), So Many Stars (118620)
Cardstock: Melon Mambo (119980), Elegant Eggplant (108614), River Rock (111852), Whisper White (106549)
Ink: Black Stazon (101406), Elegant Eggplant (105210), Melon Mambo (115656)
Markers: Brights (119702), Regals (119701), Neutrals (119703)
Punches:  Decorative Label (120907), Jewelry Tag (117190), Itty Bitty Shapes (118309), 1/16″ Circle (101227)
Other: Linen Thread (104199), Basic Pearls (119247)

The card base is a small square of Melon Mambo and So Many Stars was wheeled across the bottom of the card front using Elegant Eggplant ink. After stamping the sentiment onto Whisper White card with Black Stazon ink, it was coloured with Melon Mambo, Elegant Eggplant and River Rock markers. This was adhered direct to the card front. The tiny bird from the Elementary Elegance set was stamped in Melon Mambo ink onto River Rock card and punched out with the Jewelry Tag. A hole was punched at the top with the 1/16″ Circle handheld punch and Linen Thread was tied through it. A panel of Elegant Eggplant card was punched with the Decorative Label and the tag was tied through the aperture before popping the panel up on dimensionals over the sentiment. To finish, three small flowers were punched from River Rock card, adhered direct to the popped up panel and tiny pearls added to the centres.
