Casing the team – no. 6

Today’s card is another CASE from my team swaps.

Mari made this clean and simple card with a striking colour combo.

I love the stamp that she used but it’s from a Sale-a-bration set that you can no longer get hold of and so I decided to rotate her design, so that I could use the Just Believe stamp (W116948 or C120453) instead.

I still kept to the Melon Mambo/Basic Black/Whisper White colour combo, the use of ovals for the sentiment and the Beautiful Wings embosslits butterfly (118138) (though mine is a slightly larger one).

I first tried stamping the floral image in Basic Black but wasn’t totally happy with the impression that I got and so repeated it, using Versamark ink (102283) and heat embossing with Black EP (109133) – much crisper!

Love the bold look to this and how well it works with silhouette style stamps. I’ll be adding this one to my bag of tricks Smile.

I need to start thinking about my next set of swaps and speed up the casing if I’m going to get it finished before the next team training event!

The Paper Dolls will be meeting again on Saturday 25 August (1.15pm – 3.15pm approx), at the Doghill Community Centre at Shafton. We open up our meetings to anyone who may be thinking of joining our team or purchasing the SU! Starter Kit. There’s no pressure to sign up – we’re not that kind of team – just a chance to chat to others who’ve joined (both hobby and business demonstrators), find out a bit more about it and get any questions you may have, answered.

We do need to know how many make and take packs to prepare though, so if you’re interested in coming along, then please email me or give me a ring on 0775 1133886 to let me know. I’ll give you detailed instructions for finding the venue when you get in touch.

Have a great weekend.

Sara xx
