Sweet Cake Birthday card

August 20, 2012

Today’s card uses the Sweet Shop product suite from the Summer Mini Catalogue. I’ve loved this suite, such bright cheery colours and fun elements Smile

Don’t forget that this catty will finish in a little over a week’s time, so if you want to be certain of getting any of these products, then now is the time to do so. Not everything will make it through to the new catalogue, so please email me if you’d like to place an order.

The card base is Textured So Saffron, punched on all four corners with the Corner Rounder (119871). A strip of Sweet Shop Specialty DSP (125408) was edged on both sides with Pool Party Ruffled Ribbon (122975) and adhered centrally to the card front. The main Sweet Cake image (W125490 or C125492) was stamped twice, once with Not Quite Navy ink and once, coloured direct to stamp with markers. Both were cut out by hand. The sentiment was stamped in Real Red in the sentiment panel and a Sweet Shop Jelly Bean Brad (125587) was added to the Not Quite Navy layer before popping up on dimensionals on the card front. The multi-coloured cupcake was popped up on more dimensionals aligned with the original design.

For the insert, a sentiment was borrowed from Something Sweet (W117688 or C118589) and the Cupcake wheel (113121) rolled across the bottom, both in Not Quite Navy ink.

Thanks for stopping by.

Sara xx
