A textured Christmas card

October 15, 2012

Yesterday I shared a textured Halloween card and I’m back today to give the textured card a Christmas makeover. I’ve kept a similar background layout but turned it vertical and switched embossing folders.

The card base is an A6 portrait of Cherry Cobbler, sponged around the edges with matching ink and with all four corners die cut with the star from the Holiday Collection framelits (127814) (retain one of the stars for later). A Gumball Green Core’dinations (127847) card mat was run through the Big Shot with the Holiday Frame (127820) embossing folder and then sanded for a distressed look (I’ll be back soon with a few tips on using the Core’dinations card) and sponged again with matching ink. The corners of the mat were curled (around a cocktail stick), adhered in place and then the mat was adhered direct to the card front. After stamping the tree from the Scentsational Season stamp set (W121026 or C121190) in Gumball Green ink onto Very Vanilla card, it was die cut using the same set of framelits and popped up on dimensionals on the centre of the textured oval. The retained star was also popped up on a sliver of dimensional at the top of the tree.

A Very Vanilla insert was stamped with the sentiment from the Delightful Dozen stamp set (W122650 or C122652).

Don’t forget that if you buy the Scentsational Season stamp set and the Holiday Collection framelits together as a Scentsational Season bundle (W129945 or C129946) you’ll get 15% off!
