A special birthday card to celebrate a special birthday

forever birthday card close up

Yesterday was a very special birthday for a friend and Paper Doll teammate. So of course I had to make a special card for her to celebrate.

The card base is an A6 portrait of Raspberry Ripple, matted with Primrose Petals, Summer Starfruit and Print Poetry DSP (129312). Raspberry Ripple Stitched Satin Ribbon (126845) was wrapped around the lower portion and a flat bow adhered around it. A little pull tag of the same ribbon was attached to the upper half. The framed sentiment from Forever with You (W126725 or C126727) was stamped onto Very Vanilla card with Raspberry Ripple ink, die cut out with the Window Frames framelits (129021) and matted onto another Window Frame of Raspberry Ripple card. The central sentiment was covered over with a 1-1/4″ Square (119865) punched from more Raspberry Ripple. Using Raspberry Ripple ink, a different sentiment, from the Petite Pairs set (W122495 or C122497) was stamped onto Very Vanilla card, punched out with the Postage Stamp (122344) and popped up on dimensionals. Larger Boho Blossom flowers (119858) were secured with Vintage Trinket brads (118764) and smaller Itty Bitty (118309) flowers were adhered to the sentiment and finished with Basic Rhinestones (119246).

The the top swings open to reveal a hidden message (well you don’t want to shout out a ladies age, do you?).

The sentiment from Memorable Moments (W126680 or C126682) and the corner florals from the same Forever with You was stamped in Raspberry Ripple ink.

On the inside the long floral panels from the Forever with You set were used on the top and bottom of the Very Vanilla insert and the sentiment from the Bring on the Cake (W121899 or C121958) was stamped in Raspberry Ripple ink.

The corner florals were used again to decorate the corners of the envelope.

Hope you had a brilliant day Julie!
