Tag for a handcrafted gift

I finally got caught up and gave a belated birthday gift to a friend at the weekend.

Papercrafting is my first love but I really enjoy knitting, beading and cross stitch when I can find time for them.

I’d hand knit a scarf from a lovely fabric yarn as a birthday gift and the Hand Knit stamp set was the perfect finishing touch.

hand knit front

A large tag was die cut from Lucky Limeade card using one of the Apothecary Accents framelits (127003) and a semi-circle was cut away from one end to create the basic tag. A hole was punched in the other semi-circle and Basic Gray Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon (126879) was threaded through for tying onto the gift. Two images from the Hand Knit set (W117012 or C120507) were stamped side by side on Whisper White card using Basic Gray ink. This was then cut to a small rectangle and matted onto the front of the tag.

hand knit back

The hand knit label was stamped on Whisper White card with Basic Gray ink, trimmed down and then matted onto the back of the tag.

I’ll be back tomorrow to show you the gift bag the scarf was popped in.
