Giggle Greetings cheese cake

I’ve been commissioned recently to make a few funny cards and so I naturally turned to Giggle Greetings as the main stamp set.

Now, first I must admit that this is not an original idea, I’ve seen a few different versions similar to this on Pinterest, but this paper pieced cheese cake is my take on it.

The base card is an A6 portrait of Daffodil Delight. A mat of Daffodil Delight card was punched with the 1/2” Circle, 3/4” Circle and 1” Circle, punching off the edge of the card in places. This layer was popped up on dimensionals on the front of the card. After stamping both the image and sentiment from Giggle Greetings onto Whisper White card with Black Stazon, just the cake was stamped again onto a scrap of Daffodil Delight. A Circles Collection framelit was used to die cut out the cake and a sliver was cut away from one side. Using the next size of Circle framelit a mat was die cut from Real Red card. Markers (Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral, Coastal Cabana and Soft Sky) were used to colour the candle and provide shading to the plate. After fussy cutting the Daffodil Delight stamped cheese cake it was adhered in place over the original. A sentiment from Petite Pairs was stamped in Black Stazon, punched out with the Large Oval and matted onto a Scallop Oval punched from Real Red. This sentiment and the main image were adhered flat to the card front to keep the layers minimal for posting.

On the Whisper White insert a sentiment from the hostess set, Let Your Hair Down, was stamped in Real Red. It seems in keeping with the sentiment on the front 🙂

Thanks for stopping by.
