Christmas ideas – Little Letters

July 4, 2015

Lol, hottest few days of the year and I’m sharing Christmas cards 😀

But I did mention a few weeks ago that from July onwards we will be bringing you a new Christmas project every weekend – sometimes a card, other times, gift box, wrap or tag idea.

Some of these will use stamps in the Christmas section of the catty (pages 67 – 72) and some will use stamps and other products that are less christmas specific. Today we’re using Little Letters thinlets and Merry Moments DSP.

Don’t worry if you don’t start your Christmas preparations this early, or even celebrate Christmas at all, we’ll have a suggestion at the end of each project for converting it for another occasion.

The card base is and A6 landscape of Cherry Cobbler, matted with Smoky Slate. Little Letters thinlets were used to die cut the sentiment from a mat of Merry Moments DSP (backed with Whisper White card for extra strength). We opted to use “XMAS” as it was easier to fit on than “CHRISTMAS”. A strip of Cherry Cobbler card was adhered direct below the sentiment and Silver 1/8″ Ribbon adhered across the top of it. This mat was popped up on the card front with dimensionals adding a strip of Silver Foil directly behind the sentiment. A bow of more Silver Ribbon was added to finish.

We’ll be back on Monday with some hints and tips for lining up and using the Little Letters.

Although we used them here to create a Christmas card, the letters could just as easily have spelled out BEST WISHES or CONGRATS and be combined with a different DSP to suit other occasions 🙂

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
