Love Blossoms in the Rose Garden

Today I’m playing along with the Mojo Monday challenge again. This is this week’s layout for Mojo 431.

I wanted something a little different than a simple circle for the large motif so I looked at my newest goodies and spotted that the gorgeous Rose Garden thinlit would still provide the general shape (although the Mojo challenge does allow you to substitute if you don’t have a shape). Many patterns of the Love Blossoms DSP are also used here – 5 in total – well there are 4 of each double-sided design in each pack!

The card base is an A6 landscape of Rose Red matted with Love Blossoms DSP. A different pattern of the same DSP was matted to a panel of Crumb Cake and then adhered to the card front. The largest of the Rode Garden thinlits was used to die cut the large flower frame from Rose Red card and the leaf from Garden Green card. (The thinlit is a single die of one flower and two leaves but it’s easy to snip them apart). The frames were adhered to different patterns of DSP and then the excess cut away before popping up on dimensionals on the card front. A sentiment from Tin of Cards was stamped onto a final pattern of Love Blossoms DSP with Rose Red ink and then punched out with the 1-3/4″ Circle. This was matted onto a 2″ Circle of Rose Red card and popped up on dimensionals on the card front. Basic Pearls were dotted about to finish.

On the Whisper White insert, a strip of DSP to match the front, was added near the bottom and then a sentiment and images from the Cottage Greetings set were stamped in Rose Red and Garden Green inks.

Thanks for stopping by.
