Crystal Anniversary card

September 26, 2017

Where does the time go? Today I celebrate 15 happy years with my hubby – it’s our Crystal Wedding Anniversary. Difficult to believe that it’s that long, though only because we don’t think we can possibly be that old!

Crystal made me think of our Rhinestone Jewels and I decided to team these with the lush new Champagne metallic (which is my new favourite), keeping the rest of the design simple. I prefer not to get too fussy when making cards for men (even though my hubby would probably understand by now, lol).

The card base is an A6 portrait of Shimmery White card, matted with Champagne Foil (but see cheat tip below) and Year of Cheer Specialty DSP. A Layering Circle was die cut from Shimmery White card and a Swirly Scribbles circular frame was die cut from the centre of the Champagne Foil before assembling the layers (a great way to make the Foil go a little further). The frame was adhered direct over the circle, (trimming away any of the circle that would show through) and the layers were popped up on the card front with dimensionals. Basic Rhinestones were arranged in the shape of a “15” in the centre.

A sentiment from Happy Birthday Gorgeous was stamped direct on the inside of the card using Crumb Cake ink (to tone with the Champagne).

Here’s to many more happy years together sweetheart!

Thanks for stopping by.
