Stampin’ Up! Independent Demonstrator

Colorful Seasons Notecard 1

October 2, 2017

To welcome in the new Stampin’ Up! year I’m taking part in a 31 day challenge – to blog and Facebook post every day throughout October.

Now the main reason I don’t usually post on my blog daily is because I don’t have time to create and write up more complex projects every day … but then I thought maybe you guys and gals don’t either. Maybe some quick and simple projects might be helpful as inspiration too?

Today’s card uses minimal supplies and with the exception of the ink pads, they’re all on sale right now! Bonus! It’s flat for posting, simple and the only technique (stamping off, sometimes known as second generation stamping) is very straightforward, so this is ideal for beginner stampers or for more advanced stampers who need a quick project.

The card base is a Whisper White notecard. Using Early Espresso ink, a sentiment and deckchair frame from Colorful Seasons were stamped direct onto the front of the notecard. Crushed Curry ink was used to stamp the deckchair seat. The lemonade glass was inked, stamped off onto scrap and then stamped onto the card front for a paler look and then the lemon stamped at full strength. A 1/2″ strip and a 1/4″ strip of different patterns of the Crushed Curry Color Theory DSP were adhered down the left side of the card front.

The notecards come complete with envelopes so there’s no need to purchase them separately.

I’ll be back tomorrow with another quick notecard.

Thanks for stopping by.

Sara xx
