Boxwood decorated Christmas card

December 22, 2017

Today’s card is an oversize card. This is an A5 Christmas card that I made for my Mum and Dad.

It uses more supplies that I usually apply to a single card but hey, my Mum and Dad are special and they warrant it!

The card base is an A5 portrait of Real Red. A card front layer of Very Vanilla was die cut with the Card Front Builder thinlits to create a frame on the top half. Using Real Red ink, a sentiment and baubles from the Carols of Christmas set were stamped within the frame. The baubles were stamped another three times onto Very Vanilla card, once each with Real Red, Garden Green and Basic Black ink. After die cutting out the baubles they were popped up over the original stamped versions with mini dimensionals. Boxwood Wreaths were straightened out and adhered around the sides and top of the frame. On the lower half of the card front layer, mats of Garden Green and Christmas Around the World DSP were adhered direct. A sentiment from Merry Mistletoe was stamped onto Real Red card with Basic Black ink, matted onto Basic Black card and popped up on the card front layer with dimensionals. The whole card front layer was popped up on dimensionals on the card front.

On the Very Vanilla insert, the Card Front Builder thinlits were used to decorate the corners. The bough from Merry Mistletoe and a sentiment from Flurry of Wishes were stamped in Garden Green ink and another sentiment from Oh, What Fun was stamped in Real Red ink.

Have a great weekend in preparation for the Christmas break.

Thanks for stopping by.
