Today I’m using the Dashing Along DSP (free when you host a qualifying workshop) for another birthday card.
This time it’s stepped up with some Striped Burlap Trim – a “Christmas ribbon” that is also great year round.
The colours used are Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake and Old Olive.
The card base is an A6 portrait of Crumb Cake. Two full card front layers of Dashing Along DSP were cut at the same time and then mismatched and adhered direct to a card front layer of Cherry Cobbler (saving the other set of layers for tomorrow’s card). Striped Burlap Trim was wrapped over the join on the DSP and then the layers adhered direct to the card front. A sentiment from Perennial Birthday was stamped with Early Espresso ink onto a Stitched Label framelit of Whisper White card. Flowers from the same set were stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink and leaves in Old Olive ink before popping the label up on the card front with dimensionals.
On the Whisper White insert, another sentiment from Perennial Birthday was stamped in Early Espresso ink and a flower and leaves stamped in Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive inks respectively in the lower right corner.
I’ll be back tomorrow to share the Christmas version of the same card.
Hope you’re enjoying your weekend.
Thanks for stopping by.
