The exclusive set of Snowflake Showcase products is only available until Friday – or while stocks last. Today’s Christmas card uses the Snow Is Glistening stamp set from the suite.
It combines the stamps with a simple technique, suitable even for beginner crafters, that I’m calling colour chopping. It’s so very straightforward that you might not need any instruction, but just in case I’ll be back with a technique post very soon.
The colour combo is Granny Apple Green, Old Olive and Lemon Lime Twist, with just a dab of Shaded Spruce.
The card base is an A6 portrait of Granny Apple Green. A card front layer of Whisper White was stamped with a sentiment from the Snow Is Glistening set in Shaded Spruce ink. This was then run through the Big Shot with the Falling embossing folder before matting it onto a Lemon Lime Twist card front layer. Old Olive Sheer Ribbon was wrapped around the layers before adhering them direct to the card front. A teeny bow of the same Ribbon was added with a Glue Dot. Granny Apple Green, Old Olive and Lemon Lime Twist card were cut and arranged in a triangle and stamped with the tree from the Snow Is Glistening set in Shaded Spruce ink. Small Basic Rhinestones were added to the centres of the larger snowflakes and a larger one to the top of the tree. This was popped up on the card front with dimensionals.
The Whisper White insert was run through the Big Shot with the Falling embossing folder just down the right hand side. A sentiment and mini snowflakes from the Snow Is Glistening set were stamped in Shaded Spruce.
We still have 10% off tools and ink today (but quantities are limited so some items will have dropped from the sale now). Today is the last day of the sale and last call for online orders is 22.50!
Thanks for stopping by.
