A quick and easy Christmas cracker

Christmas cracker close up

Now here is one of the goodies that I was itching to get my hands on from my last order. It’s called a candy wrapper die but I think it also looks a lot like a Christmas cracker. As I explained before, this makes very quick work of creating a small box, perfect for a sweet treat, or gifting jewellery, or a whole host of other small items.

I stamped this one with a Christmas sentiment but you could just as easily write people’s names on and use them for place settings at the Christmas table.

Christmas cracker

Recipe
Stamp set: Petite Pairs (W122495 or C122497)
Cardstock: Real Red (106578), Chocolate Chip (108599), Lucky Limeade (124388), Whisper White (106549)
Ink: Chocolate Chip (100908)
Scallop Dots Ribbon: Chocolate Chip (124142)
Punches: Boho Blossoms (119858), Scallop Oval (119856), Large Oval (119855)
Bigz L Die: Candy Wrapper (120890)
Other: Mini Brads (122941)
Tools: Big Shot (113439), Mat Pack (105826), Paper Piercing Tool (116631)

The Candy Wrapper was cut from Real Red card using the Big Shot, folded along the score lines, adhered along the tabbed edge and assembled. Chocolate Chip Dots Ribbon was adhered around the cracker. After stamping the sentiment onto Whisper White card with Chocolate Chip ink it was punched with the Large Oval and matted onto a Scallop Oval of Chocolate Chip card. The small and medium Boho Blossoms were punched from Real Red and Lucky Limeade card respectively and then secured to the matted sentiment with a Mini Brad before popping up on dimensionals to cover the join in the ribbon.

The Mini Brads are another new product and so sweet! They’re dinky. You get 200 of them for £2.95. Be careful when opening the dish, there’s a lot of them to spill!
