Tutorial for Gold Animal Cracker Treat

April 7, 2023

Today’s tutorial is for a Gold Animal Cracker Treat. I’ve filled mine with mini eggs for a last minute Easter Treat.

These would work very well for wedding favours or even wedding anniversary party favours. Both the Like An Animal Specialty DSP and the Ribbon Trim come in both Gold and Silver. Simply switch out the sentiment for the occasion.

In the tutorial below, I take you step by step through creating the Gold Animal Cracker Treat. I also have a supply list for purchasing anything you don’t already own.

Colour Combo

This is a very simple colour combo of Metallic Gold and Basic White.

Using the Cracker & Treat Box dies, die cut a cracker from Gold Like An Animal DSP (see video). Burnish all the fold lines with a bone folder. Adhere one side of the cracker to the other. Tie one end closed in a bow with Gold Trim from the Gold & Silver 1/8″ Trim Combo Pack. Add your treat and tie the other end closed with another bow.

Using Versamark ink, stamp a sentiment from the Easter Bunny stamp set onto a scrap of Basic White card. Cover with Gold Emboss Powder (from the Metallics Emboss Powders set), tap away the excess and heat emboss. Die cut out with the stitched label from the Cracker & Treat Box dies. Pop this up on the cracker with mini dimensionals.

In this short video I’m sharing tips for aligning open dies with patterned DSP. Please subscribe to my Youtube channel to see my quick cards and quick tips each week.
