I love how versatile this new Petal Cone die is. My MIL and I had a play with it yesterday. MIL made a great ice cream cone, topped with strawberry ice cream and a chocolate flake! So sorry – I didn’t get a pic I’m afraid, I’ll have to have a go at one of my own some time.
Here’s what I made with it:
Recipe
Stamp sets: Pennant Parade (W122740 or C122742)
Cardstock: Real Red (106578), Old Olive (106576), Whisper White (106549)
Ink: Old Olive (102277), Daffodil Delight (119667), Cajun Craze (119671)
Punches: Petite Pennants Builder (122361), Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack (118309)
Bigz L Die: Petal Cone (121810)
Tools: Big Shot (113439)
Two Petal Cone pieces were die cut from Real Red card and adhered along the tabs to create a full cone. A tree was then added to each side of the cone as follows; the spotted tree from the Pennant Parade set was stamped in Old Olive ink onto Whisper White card and punched out with the Petite Pennants. Two further Old Olive Scallop Triangles were punched out with the Petite Pennants. All the triangles were folded in half vertically and the triangle halves were adhered back to back to create a 3d tree before adhering direct to the inverted Petal Cone box. The flower pot was stamped in Cajun Craze onto Whisper White card, cut out by hand and popped up on a segment of dimensional below the tree. The star was stamped in Daffodil Delight ink onto Whisper White card, punched out with the Itty Bitty Circle and popped up on a segment of dimensional above the tree.
Chocs were added to the box …
… then the petals were closed together and the box held closed while it was inverted and set upon the shelf.
I’ll be making a few more projects with this die in the run up to Christmas, it’s another handy box pattern for all sorts of small goodies.
