As promised, I’m going to have a different Sale-a-bration project for you each day this week, right up until the Sale-a-bration deadline on Saturday.
Today’s is a card that has been very popular at my workshops during Sale-a-bration. There have been a few different variations of it – different colour combos and different embellishments, sometimes stepped up with a Lace Ribbon Border. This particular variation though is easy to make (no fiddly bows ) and looks so elegant.
If you’d like to get hold of your free stamp set or DSP (see here for more details) then I’ll need to receive your order (and payment) no later than 7pm on Saturday 31 March 2012.
Recipe
Stamp sets: Fresh Vintage (W125115 or C125117), Elementary Elegance (W125120 or C125122), (Free Sale-a-bration sets)
Cardstock: Basic Black (121688), Crumb Cake (121685), Very Vanilla (106550)
Ink: Basic Black (101179)
Punches: Decorative Label (120907), Curly Label (119851)
1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon: Basic Black (119261)
Embosslits Die: Beautiful Wings (118138)
Other: Basic Rhinestones (119246)
Tools: Big Shot (113439)
The card base is an A6 of Basic Black. A narrow strip of Very Vanilla was stamped with the circular motif from the Fresh Vintage set in Basic Black, stamping off the edges. Using the same ink, the large floral design from the same set was stamped down a wider strip of Very Vanilla, rotating the stamp 180 degrees each time. These panels were adhered direct to a large mat of Crumb Cake card. Basic Black Taffeta Ribbon was wrapped around the narrower stamped panel and secured on the reverse with Sticky Strip. A smaller piece of the same ribbon was tied on and trimmed. The sentiment (taken from another Sale-a-bration set) was stamped in Basic Black ink onto Very Vanilla card and punched out with the Curly Label punch. This was popped up on dimensionals onto a Decorative Label punched from Basic Black card and both layers were popped up on more dimensionals onto the card front. The little butterflies were die cut from Basic Black card using the Beautiful Wings embosslits run through the Big Shot. They were folded along the body and adhered to the card front using rolled glue dots. Finally, Basic Rhinestones were added to the butterflies and the sentiment.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
