Mojo Monday using free DSP

April 3, 2012

I mentioned on Sunday about our April offer of free DSP with a £45 order and today I’ve used some of that free DSP to play along with the Mojo Monday sketch which is this:

I’ve combined a couple of pieces of one of the free DSPs with one from another set (Flirtatious Specialty) to give a bright contrast to the more subtle patterns.

Recipe
Stamp sets: Posy Punch (W122480 or C122482), Happiest Birthday Wishes (W122615 or C122617) (Hostess sets)
Cardstock: Rich Razzleberry (119981), Pumpkin Pie (108601), Old Olive (106576), Whisper White (106549)
Ink: Rich Razzleberry (115658), Pumpkin Pie (105216)
DSP: Pocketful of Posies (122354) (Free with £45 order in April), Flirtatious Specialty (122360)
Punches:  Fancy Flower (118073), Scallop Trim Border (118402)
Tools: Big Shot (113439), Bone Folder (102300)
Non-SU: Circle dies

The A6 landscape card of Rich Razzleberry was matted with one of the co-ordinating Pocketful of Posies papers. Another, smaller piece of different co-ordinating paper was edged on one side with a plain strip of Rich Razzleberry card and on the other with a strip of the same card punched with the Scallop Trim Border. This layer was adhered direct to the card front. Large Circles were die cut from Rich Razzleberry and Whisper White card. The birthday sentiment was stamped onto the White circle with Rich Razzleberry ink and the small circle motif from the Posy Punch set was stamped over the rest of the circle, stamping off each time first to get a paler shade of the ink. These circles were adhered direct to the card front. A wide strip of the Pumpkin Pie paper from the Flirtatious Specialty set was trimmed to a banner and matted onto plain Pumpkin Pie card trimmed in the same way. This banner was popped up on dimensionals on the card front. The outlined bold flower was stamped onto Whisper White card, once with Rich Razzleberry and once with Pumpkin Pie ink and two Fancy Flowers were punched, one from Rich Razzleberry card and one from Old Olive. Two petals were trimmed from the Old Olive flower and adhered behind the Rich Razzleberry one to form leaves. The Rich Razzleberry stamped flower was cut out and the petals shaped over the bone folder before popping up on a dimensional in the centre of the flower (matching the petals up). Just the centre of the Pumpkin Pie stamped flower was cut out and also popped up on a dimensional in the centre of the flower before adding it to the front of the card.

Don’t forget that the Pocketful of Posies set of papers is only one of four you can choose from, for free, when you place a £45 order. If you’d like to place your order, then please email me or give me a call on 0775 1133886.
