Spider’s web hanger

October 18, 2012

This little hanger is to go on the door at Halloween to give a hint that we welcome trick or treaters. We just love to see the costumes that they come up with!

One of my new toys tools is this Delicate Doilies sizzlit (126999). I use the medallions from the Perfect Pennants die very regularly so I figured that this is likely to get just as much use. I’ll have a few tips for using it very soon (after I’ve finished figuring it out Laughing).

When I first saw the die I thought that the bottom doily looked like a spider’s web and so that’s how I’ve used it here.

The rosette was made on the Scoring Tool (122334) with Howlstooth & Scaringbone DSP (126906). After die-cutting the web from Basic Black card it was adhered over the top of the rosette (with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive). The tiny spider from the Googly Ghouls set (W128060 or C128063) was stamped in Basic Black ink onto Tangerine Tango card, cut out and popped up on a sliver of dimensional before topping with Googlies (127539). Striped Satin Ribbon (127837) was adhered to the reverse for hanging.

Here’s a close up of the spider on the web.

I’ll be back tomorrow with a Christmas makeover for this project.

Sara xx
