Christmas cards for my Paper Dolls

December 15, 2012

These are the cards I made for my Paper Dolls teammates (and my face to face class customers) last weekend (in addition to the little Christmas present swap that I made for them all). They’re a bit bulky and so only really okay for giving by hand. Those teammates that couldn’t make it to team training and don’t live nearby will get a different design in the mail Smile

The card base is an A6 portrait of Crumb Cake. This was matted with a layer of Gumball Green where the lower portion had been run through the Petals-a-Plenty embossing folder (116824). Snow Festival DSP (126908) was adhered to the top portion and all layered on the card front. The gingerbread man from the Scentsational Season stamp set (W121026 or C121190) was stamped in Soft Suede onto Whisper White card and the buttons coloured with Cherry Cobbler. A shaker frame was made using the Windows Frames Collection framelits (129021), 1-3/4″ Circle punch (119850), Window Sheet (114323), Champagne Glass Glitter (120997) and  Shaker Frames (124155). (The shaker frames make it so easy – I’ll be demonstrating them at your workshops in the new year if I haven’t already done so, so contact me to book yours now). After stamping the sentiment from Petite Pairs (W122495 or C122497) onto Whisper White card it was punched out with the Large Oval (119855) and matted onto a Scallop Oval (119856) punched from Cherry Cobbler card. These were popped up on dimensionals on the card front. To finish, a couple of candy canes were stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink, die cut with the Holiday Collection framelits (127814) and adhered to the sentiment panel.

For the inside, the other half of the pair was stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink. The coffee mug was stamped in Gumball Green (colouring the liquid with a Chocolate Chip marker direct to stamp). Steam was stamped in Chocolate Chip ink. A mini candy cane was adhered inside the card.

Here’s the batch of them that I made.

Hope that your Christmas preparations are going well.
