Paper tag thank you card

January 5, 2013

tag thanks close up

From news of our new electronic talking tags yesterday to a paper tag background today.

A popular item from the Autumn/Winter catty has been the Snow Festival Designer Printed Tags:

snow festival tags

Now that Christmas is over and done, you might be wondering what to do with any tags you have left (or indeed whether to order a pack now). Well the red stitch heart label will be perfect for Valentines day and the little pair of red birds tag will work equally well if you cover the sentiment with a different banner and the tree with a small punched heart.

The other front sides won’t work quite as well until next Christmas rolls around (Nooo! Not even thinking of that yet!) but the reverse sides are all perfect to use as beautiful die cut backgrounds. Here’s one example:

The card base is an A6 landscape of Baja Breeze. A mat of Not Quite Navy was run through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder (117335). The “owl label” from the Snow Festival Designer Printed Tags (128152) was adhered, owl side down, in the centre of the Polka Dots mat. Using Not Quite Navy ink, the spotted frame from the Four Frames set (W123440 0r C123442) was stamped onto Baja Breeze card. The thank you sentiment from Delightful Dozen (W122650 or C122652) was stamped in the same ink in the centre of the oval and then the frame was punched out with the Decorative Label (120907). After adhering the frame to the centre of the tag, a Flourish Designer Frame (127835) was secured over the top with Mini Brads (122941) and then the layers adhered centrally to the front of the card. A bow of Baja Breeze 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon (122964) was applied with a glue dot to finish.

You can still get hold of the Snow Festival Designer Printed Tags from the Autumn/Winter catty until the end of January.

Back tomorrow with another sneak peek.

Sara xx
